Dr. Alicia Herrera’s story is one of new beginnings and growth. With a background in animal biotechnology, she began her career in research before transitioning to education, where she spent over a decade shaping young minds in Las Vegas, Nevada. But her heart led her to rescue work, founding the 501(c)(3) nonprofit An Old Tail Senior Dog Rescue to give dogs a fresh start.

In her rescue work, Alicia saw how many dogs were surrendered due to behavioral issues, which could be corrected with the right training. This inspired her to rebrand and create New Chapters Canine Training, where she combines her expertise in science and education with a hands-on approach to help pet parents and their dogs thrive. With Alicia, every training session is an opportunity to write a new chapter—one where trust, understanding, and lasting bonds are built.
